If you ever hear us talking about our original granola - this is it! We baked our first batch of Dried Cherry + Cinnamon granola in May of 2020 and never looked back. Although we have only been baking it for a few years, the recipe has been in our family for quite some time.
We started the business as a local farm to front door grocery delivery service in The Hampton's (hence the name, The Hampton Grocer). Our signature item that we included as a part of our delivery and curated gift boxes that we put together was our granola packed in a glass jar. Janet, my mother in law and workout / health junkie for as long as I can remember, was baking up granola and always had a jar in the kitchen. What was unique about her granola was the ratio of nuts and seeds and the quality of ingredients she used. My brother in law is diabetic and it was important to Janet that her recipe we low in sugar, sweetened naturally, be packed with protein and baked with gluten free oats so it would be the ideal snack for her son.
This blend is 50% nuts, seeds, and toasted coconut. It's so Nutty that we like to think that if trail mix and granola had a baby, it would be our granola. Thank you Janet for this incredible recipe, without which we would have never been in the granola business!

We enjoy our dried cherry and cinnamon granola with yogurt and berries and sometimes if we want to sweeten things up, maybe a drizzle of local honey. We love adding this granola as a topper on apples with nut butter as an afternoon snack. During cocktail hour, we love love topping our baked brie with dried cherry and cinnamon granola and serving with local jam.
Don't worry. We keep our content light.
Mostly pretty food photos, recipes and discounts.
